Prof. Dr. Andrew Fishman
Belgrade’s international expert in surgery of adult and pediatric ear disease, cholesteatoma, acoustic neuroma, meningioma, pituitary tumors, facial nerve disorders, vertigo surgery, hearing implants and a variety of complex skull base tumors. Prof. Dr. Andrew Fishman is now an active Consultant at Acibadem Bel Medic Hospital in Belgrade, Serbia.
Београдски међународни стручњак за хирургију болести уха одраслих и деце, холестеатома, неурома акустике, менингиома, тумора хипофизе, поремећаја фацијалног нерва, хирургије вртоглавице, слушних имплантата и разних сложених тумора базе лобање. Проф. др Андрев Фисхман је сада активни консултант у болници Ацибадем Бел Медиц у Београду, Србија.
Prof. Fishman holds numerous clinical appointments throughout Europe. He is a Visiting Professor at the 10th Military and the Children’s Hospital in Bydgoszcz Poland. Dr. Fishman also has volunteer consulting and operating privileges at the VMA Military Hospital in Belgrade, Serbia where he trains students and collaborates with the full time faculty.
Prior to his move to Serbia in 2022, Prof. Dr. Fishman was the Director of Oto-Neurosurgery & Skull Base Surgery at Northwestern University Regional Medical Group in Chicago. There, he was appointed as the Chairman of the Neurosciences department and received a generous financial grant from the Northwestern Foundation in order to develop a 3 dimensional video teaching library to train international surgeons.
Пре него што се преселио у Србију 2022. године, проф. др Фишман је био директор Ото-неурохирургије и хирургије базе лобање у Регионалној медицинској групи Универзитета Нортхвестерн у Чикагу. Тамо је именован за председника Одељења за неуронауке и добио је великодушну финансијску помоћ од Нортхвестерн Фоундатион како би развио тродимензионалну библиотеку видео наставе за обуку међународних хирурга.
Prof. Dr. Fishman is an active consultant for numerous international training centers, having served many years as a civilian consultant to the Walter Reed Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. He is also a guest professor at the University of Missouri.
Prof. Dr. Fishman was recently awarded a prestigious NIH (National Institute of Health, USA) RO1 research grant to investigate optical stimulation of the nervous system for the development of an fiberoptic based cochlear neural implant.
Prof. Dr. Fishman upholds the practice philosophy that “the first modality of treatment should alleviate the fear of the unknown”.
